ST AUGUSTINE’S PAST STUDENTS UNION (APSU)

FUND-RAISING ACTIVITIES

During our First Annual Global Reunion Fund-raising dinner dance, picnic and weekend activities hosted by APSU North America, the leadership team took the opportunity to identify the priorities of St. Augustine’s College, with the help of the headmaster, for funding.  This was largely based on the mission for an effective collaboration and shared commitment from all APSUnians to raise funds in support of our alma mater.   Our invited headmaster, Mr. Jerry Koomson, addressed fellow APSUnians present, on the school’s need and priorities.  In addition, various members noted the need for an active contribution pledge from every APSUnian. 

Based on a consensus, our three core areas for funding and contributions are:

  Transportation Fund – school bus
  Church Fund
  Academic Fund 

 We would like to take this opportunity to ask each of you to make a donation towards one or more of these funding areas in support of our alma mater.  Pledges with future contributions are encouraged as well.  Your efforts are very much needed and key to fulfilling our worthy purpose.   We must capitalize on our efforts and resources through this global platform and strong alumni network to achieve our goals.  It is the intention to acknowledge all APSUnians who make charitable contributions to any of the funds by listing their names on the website.   THIS WILL INDICATE THAT YOU ARE A TRUE PATRIOT OF ST. AUGUSTINE’S COLLEGE, CAPE COAST AND WE THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

For added benefit, an e-commerce capability will be enabled, for those around the world who may find it more convenient to contribute with a credit card or  an ATM card.  We also encourage close contact with your regional leadership team to establish an appropriate funding mechanism and ensure that bank accounts are set up for the APSU cause.
